At low tide its possible to approach The Island via the ‘Cockle Path’. The cool water in March discourages most from the wading required to cross the creek though. Not long to go before the Easter break when the first wave of beach goers find their way, trying to decide on the shallowest crossing point, waiting for somebody who knows the way.
